How I don't like the current state of the internet and what a nice internet would be in my opinion

Introduction

I want to write about how internet should be free for all, and free from the constraints that are there currently. Internet is much safer and much nicer if I decide what I want to see and read, I know that this means that removing recommendation engines and algorithms reduces exposure to new content, but I’m ready to make that sacrifice for the freedom to choose what I see.

Internet of the 90s

Everyone has their own websites and these websites are as unique as it can be. They write about their own interests and they interact with the content that excites them. Anonymous chat rooms, blogs, web pages, games and a lot more on the web. This is what I feel is good for the internet. People can write about whatever and however they want. It should enable them to express. Its much better to see personalized websites than copy pasted templates everywhere.

Personal blogs

These days its easier than ever to create text content, Ai can write anything and honestly I’m not good enough of a writer to tell the difference between Ai written content and human content. However, this doesn’t affect people who wanna write to express and share. Everyday I read a lot of articles trending on hackernews and I feel like these blogs are more relevant than ever now. People are choosing to write and read, they’ve seen internet for a while now and they know that the best content is what inspires you and makes you feel better after consuming/producing it. I might be totally wrong here but atleast that’s how I feel like when I read these blogs. I’d like to add to these personal blogs of the internet, I’d like to have my own corner as well.
